This is the big one. This is the Game of Thrones season — based on roughly half of George R.R. Martin's A Storm of Swords — that fans of the fantasy saga have long been dying to see. "We always said if we can make it to season 3, we're going to be on for a long, long while," exec producer David Benioff says. "So many of the great dramatic scenes from the books happen to fall in this season." Just don't expect wild, wild Westeros drama right out of the gate. The premiere begins right where the finale left off, with Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) on the run from a White Walker; then it's off to Jon Snow (Kit Harington) meeting Wildling leader Mance Rayder (Ciarán Hinds), Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) avoiding his scheming sister Cersei (Lena Headey), and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) on a sea voyage (two words: dragon fishing!).
