Human Target
(Wednesday, 8/7c, Fox)
It's beginning to look a lot like suburbia when Chance and his team spend the holidays going undercover in conformity hell. Protecting an ordinary family from a mysterious murder threat, Chance and Guerrero end up in a corporate office, while grouchy Winston participates in a neighborhood book club and Ames finds herself chaperoning a high-school party. Will they find the grinch lurking in their midst before someone is killed?

... Doctor Who Christmas Special
(Saturday, 9/8c, BBC America)
Who better to welcome into your home on Christmas night, once the festivities have calmed down, than the good Doctor (the delightful new incarnation embodied by Matt Smith). In a new Dickens-inspired episode titled "A Christmas Carol" from exec producer Steven Moffat, this homage to Christmas movies — with touches of Who-vian fantasy whimsy — features newlyweds Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill), joined by special guests Michael Gambon (of Harry Potter fame) and opera diva Katherine Jenkins.

Season 3 of the scams-and-schemes drama closes with two back-to-back episodes. (A celebratory beverage for Leverage: The show will return for a fourth season.) Upfront and personal in Part 1 is International Man of Misery Damien Moreau, an über-villain who's been the crew's long-standing nemesis. Nate and his scheme team try to hunt down Moreau before he kills a top engineer and sells her work to global terrorists. Then, in the conclusion of the finale, the crew tails Moreau to San Lorenzo, only to discover he's forged political connections at the highest level. But in order to reel in, fillet and fry this big fish, the team will need to take over the entire country first. Goran Visnjic and Elisabetta Canalis guest star.
