Original heartthrob Klaus might be getting his own series.

An upcoming episode of The Vampire Diaries will act as a backdoor pilot for a potential spin-off series that would star Joseph Morgan and focus on the Original family, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The April 25 episode will follow Klaus back to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans — a town he helped build centuries ago — where he's reunited with his diabolical former protégé Marcel...

... Q) What’s your favorite Walter moment?

John Noble: "Which is my favorite, Walter really, because I’ve played a bunch of different versions of him. Gee, I don’t know. I loved it when he was being random, which was probably the original version of him more than anyone else. I loved doing Walter then and all of the different mental states that we’ve played in during the time, but when he was being completely random and had very poor social skills. I loved the scenes that he played with Peter, the connecting stuff that I played with Josh Jackson over the five years. Both of us really loved doing that work. There were so many different aspects of Walter, the comedy and drama and emotion and so forth. He was a fully-fledged character. So it’s hard for me to say what my favorite one was, but probably—Fringe is essentially a love story and so the scenes where he had close connection with Peter, but also with Anna’s character or Jasika’s character were very special to me..."

With Fringe coming to a close on Friday, January 18 with a two-hour series finale, The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills recently held a special screening of tonight’s new episode followed by a Q&A with showrunner J.H. Wyman and Lance Reddick (who plays Phillip Broyles). Shortly before the presentation began, I got to speak with Wyman on the red carpet. We talked about whether he’s finished editing the series finale, if the network give him any notes, how he chose to end the series, Dead Man Down, and his next TV project with Bad Robot.

In addition, if you’re a Fringe fan or just like cool limited-edition screenprints, you probably want to check out Fringe Benefits Project.com. Proceeds go toward The Mission Continues, which awards community service fellowships to post-9/11 veterans...

... 7. Closed Book Award: After Beckett and Rick's ex-wife Meredith (Darby Stanchfield) bond on Castle, Beckett works up the nerve to ask her why they divorced. Meredith explains that while being married to Castle was exciting at first, she later realized that he wasn't an open book, so to speak. "One day I realized, he knew everything about me: my deepest secrets, my worst pain, enough to fill a million novels. But I didn't even know enough about him to write a pamphlet," she says, noting how Castle always deflected a question about his MIA dad with a joke. Noticing Beckett's concerned look, Meredith says that she's sure Castle has changed since then. Uh, not really. But what a convenient set-up for this...

After two seasons of playing a wandering ghost on "Being Human," actress Meaghan Rath thinks she's found her sweet spot.

"For a lot of the time, she is conflicted," Rath says of Sally, who was murdered by her boyfriend, only to be condemned to the apartment where it happened and usually can be seen by a few people...



... Now, in the new season (9 p.m. Monday, SyFy), that's all changed. Returning from a state of limbo where she was left last season, Sally has a second chance. People can see her. She goes out on a date. Life is opening up for her.

"This is part of her growing up. Never in her lifetime has she ... been able to be this way," Rath says. However, "I don't know if she can be (happy). It's almost the whole point of the show..."
