Why is that much, much more important? Because the professor is played by the legendary Bob Newhart. Given the unarguably honed chops of the 'Big Bang' regulars, it would be egregiously cruel to suggest that Newhart spends the show schooling the cast in the ways of perfectly timed comic delivery. It would also be completely true.
