A Daily Guide To Notable Shows
... The Big Bang Theory
8:00 CBS
Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) agree to dog-sit Raj's (Kunal Nayyar) pampered Yorkshire terrier...and then lose her—while, much, much more important, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) hires his childhood hero, TV scientist Professor Proton, for a private show at his and Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) apartment. Why is that much, much more important? Because the professor is played by the legendary Bob Newhart. Given the unarguably honed chops of the 'Big Bang' regulars, it would be egregiously cruel to suggest that Newhart spends the show schooling the cast in the ways of perfectly timed comic delivery. It would also be completely true.
RATED: B+
