After Ruadan (Liam Cunningham) is fatally wounded rescuing his daughter (Sophie Rundle), Merlin and Arthur (Colin Morgan, Bradley James) are taken to Morgana's (Katie McGrath) hideout. They escape and land in the mines under the castle, where they free the slaves with help from a spirit called the Euchdag (Josette Simon) -- who happens to be the key Morgana is seeking -- in the conclusion of the two-part season premiere, "Arthur's Bane."
