Where We Left Off: Chin Ho had to choose between saving the life of Malia or Kono, and decided to save his wife, leaving his cousin dumped into the ocean. McGarrett learned that Shelburne was actually his presumed-dead mother.
What's Next: Doris McGarrett (guest star Christine Lahti) may be back in her son's life, but it's not going to be the happiest family reunion. In fact, it will be several episodes before McGarrett even begins to trust his mom. "You want to believe that her intentions are good, but at the end of the day, there's going to be a lot of gray and a lot of questions about what she is up to," executive producer Peter Lenkov says. "She keeps a lot of secrets." Meanwhile, Chin Ho will try and save Malia. But how will Kono feel about her cousin not coming to her aid?
