In April 2011, the worst tornado outbreak in decades left a trail of destruction across the United States, killing more than 360 people. Why was there such an extreme outbreak, and how do they form? The new episode "Deadliest Tornadoes" looks at the science behind the outbreak, meeting those afflicted and the scientists striving to understand the forces that created it so that we might better protect ourselves and our communities in the future.
