A woman becomes the sole guardian of her niece and nephew when her sister and brother-in-law are killed in an accident. Her parenting skills aren't up to much, but things begin to turn around following an invitation to spend Christmas with the children's paternal grandfather, a wealthy duke (played by Sir Roger Moore).
The beautiful mansion setting in this movie is Peles Palace in Sinaia Romania ! I toured the palace 5 years ago while on a 2 week vacation in Romania .. it is one of the most ornate castles on earth and most scenes were not shot inside as it is a priceless national treasure and was the summer home of King Charles 1 ,a former prince of Germany 1873 , who was invited to become King of a newly united eastern European country .. Romania .
