Season Finale: Thursday at 8pm ET on The CW
After last week's shocking bloodbath that left multiple key characters dead, this week's season finale can't help but feel a bit anticlimactic. Still, there are a few loose ends to tie up: Damon flashes back to his encounters with Katherine back in 1864 while dealing with Elena in the present day. Plus, Sheriff Forbes commits a grave error while trying to keep everyone safe.
