The widow of a murdered man insists that her husband's girlfriend who has been brought in for questioning, be released, because she doesn't want her kids to learn of their father's proclivities.
The second season begins with a supporter of the new mayor being murdered and the mayor asking Frank to spin the story so it looks like a random act of violence. Meanwhile, Jamie gets his first undercover assignment at a bar and meets a suspicious patron. Carrie Underwood and Tony Bennett perform.
