British Actor Enjoying 'Sanctuary' in Vancouver

To fans of the locally-shot sci-fi series, ‘Sanctuary’, he is Declan MacRae; the leader of the London Sanctuary, England.
Introduced in Season Two, the character has since gone on to become quite the hit among the show’s most ardent supporters.
“I’ve been overwhelmed by how well Declan has been received,” Lawrenson tells me.
“I had the opportunity to meet some of the fans at our first ever convention this summer, where everyone worked for free and we raised $90000 for the show’s charity - Sanctuary for Kids. The fans are a really genuine and generous group of people, devoted to the show and delighted to be part of it. It was also exciting for me to see just how much the fans have thought about my character - they were asking sometimes very specific questions about Declan and his back story. It’s really rewarding when you realize that all the work you put into your character is obviously not lost on them...”
