Capt. Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) leads the L.A.P.D.'s Major Crimes division in this spin-off from "The Closer," featuring characters from that series. In the premiere, the newly appointed Raydor investigates a string of store robberies that turns fatal. Meanwhile, an undercover detective (Kearran Giovanni) proves her worth and is transferred into the division; and Raydor tries to protect Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin).
