Fellow droogies, take note: Malcolm McDowell returns as guest star, reprising his role as the charismatic cult leader whom Patrick Jane really, truly dislikes. But this show is best when it embraces its inner Columbo, and sets Simon Baker’s Jane up against really strong antagonists. And McDowell’s Bret Stiles, making his third appearance, is about as strongly antagonistic as it gets.
