BOSTON HERALD: Snow White actress began her fairy-tale career at BU

Ginnifer Goodwin always dreamed of playing a Disney princess.
The 33-year-old actress’s wish is granted in the ABC series “Once Upon a Time,” premiering tonight at 8 on WCVB (Ch. 5). Goodwin plays Snow White and her civilian alter ego, Mary Margaret, a woman who doesn’t remember her magical heritage because of the Evil Queen’s (Lana Parrilla) curse.
“It’s not that we’re re-inventing Snow White, but we are filling in the blanks for you,” Goodwin told the Herald. “She’s very fleshed out and very flawed, and in many ways I think the Disney’s animated Snow White could have been based on this woman. We’re showing you what a (tough heroine) she could have been...”
