George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" comes to the small screen in this 10-part series set in the mythical Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. In the premiere, "Winter Is Coming," beleaguered King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) travels to Winterfell to entreat his lifelong friend, Lord Eddard "Ned" Stark (Sean Bean), to join him as his right-hand man. Unfortunately, the job amounts to a suicide mission for Ned.
