Beckett (Stana Katic) is going rogue! While investigating her ex-partner's death, she suspects he's fled to Los Angeles, and she defies orders to go west and track him down, with Castle (Nathan Fillion) as her unexpected traveling companion. They end up on the set of the movie based on Castle's book "Heat Wave" and get some help from the cast. Gene Simmons of KISS guest stars as himself in the new episode "To Love and Die in L.A."
