Sarah Shahi (The Sopranos, Life) stars as Kate Reed, a talented litigator who tires of unjust bureaucracy and so becomes a mediator, aka the anti-lawyer. While she settles everyone else's affairs, Kate's own life is complicated by entanglements with her newly widowed stepmother/boss (Virginia Williams) and Kate's ex-husband (Battlestar Galactica's Michael Trucco).
