This Saturday, May 4, Hallmark Channel will be premiering, Mr Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story.
Thursday on SportsTalk, we had the pleasure of having the man that is playing Gordie Howe in the movie, Michael Shanks.
Shanks is best known for his role as Dr. Daniel Jackson in the long running science fiction series, Stargate SG-1.
Shanks talks about how he got the role, becoming Gordie Howe, the family side of the movie, replicating the time period of the movie, making the hockey realistic and much more...
Hallmark Channel, Brightlight Pictures and Inferno Pictures have forged an unprecedented partnership to reignite the incredible legacy of Gordie Howe who, at age 45, returned to the ice after his retirement for the opportunity to play professional hockey and win a championship with his sons. The extraordinary true story is brought to life in the U.S. Television Premiere of the Hallmark Channel Original Movie, "Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story," Saturday, May 4 (9p.m. ET/PT, 8C).
