Klaus (Joseph Morgan) travels to New Orleans, the city he and his family helped build, when he learns of a plot against him. While there, he reunites with a former protégé who controls all of the human and supernatural inhabitants of the city. Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) falls under the spell of a powerful witch in the French Quarter; and Katherine (Nina Dobrev) reveals a surprising vulnerability to Rebekah.
Guest stars include Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Daniella Pineda, Claire Holt, Joseph Morgan, Danielle Campbell, Charles Michael Davis, Callard Harris, Leah Pipes and Malaya Rivera Drew.
