Thanks to the post-mortem popularity of the series "Firefly" and the determination of the Browncoats -- those rabid "Firefly" fans -- this 2005 sci-fi drama made a decent showing. The original cast returns in a continuation of the story lines started in the series. However, you don't need to know the back story to enjoy it. Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Sean Maher, Summer Glau, Adam Baldwin, Alan Tudyk and Jewel Staite star.
