Where We Left Off: Jeremy was reunited with his dead vampire ex-girlfriends, Elena kissed Damon and Klaus took Stefan back to the dark side
What's Next: The show picks up on Elena's 18th birthday, but nobody has heard from Stefan, who is still with Klaus. Executive producer Julie Plec says there will be flashbacks to illustrate how Stefan got his previous "ripper" reputation and why Klaus wants him by his side so badly. As for Jeremy, Plec assures us that we'll understand why Anna and Vicki have returned, but Jeremy will do his best to hide his ability to see the dead from his current girlfriend, Bonnie.
