An ancient Celtic she-beast — looking a bit like Rocky Dennis with fangs — torments modern-day victims in this Syfy original movie. Banshee is as guiltily silly as most Syfy flicks — and the brief turn by Lance Henriksen barely qualifies as guest-starring — but it gets points for having some actual scares in among the laughs. C+
