David O. Russell’sSilver Linings Playbook was the big winner at the 17th annual Satellite Awards, which were held this evening at the Intercontinental Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Presented by the International Press Academy, which includes the European Critics Association, the ceremony saw ... on the television side, Homeland and The Big Bang Theory claimed three awards each, including best drama series and best comedy series respectively...

Sherlock seems oblivious, and in no hurry to take a case. When there's been a break-in at a bank, Sherlock inexplicably springs into action. Nothing has been stolen, only indecipherable graffiti painted on a wall. A bank employee is soon found dead in his apartment, the windows and doors locked from the inside, and Sherlock is at full, frenetic attention. An exhausted and hungry Watson (Sherlock doesn't eat while on a case — it just slows him down) watches from the sidelines of a case of which he'll soon inexplicably find himself at the center.

... Q: Are you excited about tackling the most iconic stories in the Holmes canon?
Benedict Cumberbatch: "Yeah, very, very excited! There's a weight of expectation, but it's brilliant, because those are the [stories] that everyone is most familiar with. Again, there's trepidation and [you feel] a responsibility because people have a very set idea in their minds of what those stories are - what the outcome is, the relationships...
"But the scripts I've read have been fantastic. They're just brilliantly imaginative, engaging and witty. They're utterly loyal to the intention of the original, but are thoroughly fresh and perky. So any fears I had were allayed instantly..."
