A popular former pro baseball player is murdered after traveling to Cuba on a goodwill mission. Meanwhile, Alexis' (Molly Quinn) genealogy project has Castle (Nathan Fillion) thinking about the father he never knew. MLB manager Joe Torre appears as himself.

5:00 PM Den of Thieves
Beckett (Stana Katic) falls for a handsome robbery detective (Michael Trucco) assigned to work with her and Castle (Nathan Fillion) as they probe the murder of a thief. Meanwhile, it's learned Esposito (Jon Huertas) has a close tie to the chief suspect.

Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle (Nathan Fillion) investigate the death of a big-name chef found frozen in a restaurant's kitchen. Meanwhile, Castle finds himself attracted to the restaurant's owner, who just happens to be an old friend of Beckett's. Rocco DiSpirito appears as himself.
