ABC's crime procedural delves into a truly dangerous world tonight: the world of daytime soaps. The head writer of a long-running soap is found murdered by a fire axe, and Beckett and Castle are called in to find out who would want her dead. A bevy of guest stars play the soap's cast and crew, including Corbin Bernsen as the soap's veteran star and Jane Seymour as the victim's mother -- who's guarding a deep, dark family secret that may shed light on the case.
