STARRY CONSTELLATION MAGAZINE: SPACE TWISTER - ERICA CERRA AND MITCH PILEGGI INTERVIEW

Space Twister premieres Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 9/8C on Syfy.

... Q) What was the most adventurous moment you've experienced during filming Space Twister?

Mitch Pileggi: "Well at one point when - at the end of the thing where he's trying to fix the rocket so he can take off, and there was a lot of vapor, really, really, really cold vapor that they were shooting out of the back of the rocket to make it look like it was smoking. And it was really cold. I had to have my hands up right where the stuff is spraying out and my hands just started freezing badly. And it was kind of crazy. It was a little scary. Plus you've got all the pyro and stuff going on around it. That would have been it for me. And at one point I had to climb up a tower and the character falls off. I don't know how he survived that fall because it was an extremely high tower but. So that would have been it. Yes that's how you do it. Okay yes, I can fall 50 feet, I'm okay just - well my back hurts a little bit, but I'm okay."

Erica Cerra: "And you'll bounce when you hit the ground too. It's like you hit a mattress, you'll just bounce. Should be great. Just so you know Mitch, I'm going to let you answer all the questions first. Obviously I have been, just because - so we're not talking over each other because it's kind of hard to tell. I don't know if I can give away anything. There is a very heroic moment for my character, and that was probably it. It was - there was fire involved and it was very hot. And I was a little wary about jumping through the hoops of fire. So yes, we'll say that..."

Erica Cerra, star of Syfy’s hit series Eureka, plays the mother of a teenage genius in Space Twister, premiering Saturday, April 28 at 9PM. Other-worldly storms -- similar to the ones comprising the eye of Jupiter – begin destroying the planet, disintegrating everything they touch. A high school student’s science project becomes the mysterious key to ending the catastrophic storms and saving civilization. A production of Cinetel, Space Twister co-stars Mitch Pileggi (Sons of Anarchy).

Cast includes Eureka's Erica Cerra, Sons of Anarchy Mitch Pileggi, David Sutcliffe, Leah Cairns, Brett Dier, Luisa D'Oliveira, Cindy Busby and Jon Mack.

COLLIDER: Candice Accola, Michael Trevino, Zach Roerig and Executive Producer Julie Plec Talk the End of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES Season 3

by Christina Radish
April 27th, 2012

In the final episodes of Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries, things are ramping up in major ways and, as per usual with the popular show, everyone is in jeopardy. Love triangles will come to a resolution, heroes and villains will be tested, some big mythology moves will happen, and there’s likely to be tears.

During this recent interview to discuss where things are headed for the end of this season, executive producer/writer Julie Plec and co-stars Candice Accola, Michael Trevino and Zach Roerig talked about the extraordinary changes that the characters will be going through in their own emotional lives, personal lives, romantic lives and supernatural lives, along with what to expect from the finale. Julie Plec also shared that she and show co-creator Kevin Williamson already know how they would like the show to end, whenever that ends up being...

... Collider: Will there be more of the Caroline-Tyler-Klaus triangle, before the season is over?

PLEC: "Big time!"

MICHAEL TREVINO: "What we’ve seen with Tyler is that he’s biting his tongue, especially with this sire bond that he has broken from Klaus. But, enough is enough. In the last two episodes, you might see him actually take some action against Klaus and not follow his orders, when it comes to Caroline."

CANDICE ACCOLA: "I just love getting asked about Caroline and Klaus because, even though Caroline has made so many mistakes and put her foot in her mouth and fallen for the bad guy, this is the first time where she’s staying true to her feelings and not getting caught up in the guy with the accent. She loves her high school boyfriend. But, in high school, when someone starts putting thoughts into your head about places to travel, semesters abroad, and all these experiences you’re going to have as you grow up and grow older, it’s hard not to think about them. The only way in which she’s wooed, in any way, by Klaus is the idea that there’s another world out there. But right now, in the present, she’s fighting like hell to just have a normal relationship with her boyfriend in high school. That’s all she wants..."

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday at 8/7C on The CW.

... More trippiness: I've read the Game of Thrones books, but never imagined the scene of weird priestess Melisandre giving "birth" to her supernatural smoke monster being quite this graphic and terrifying. Forget the night; her womb is "dark and full of terrors." Speaking of horrors, I'd also like to forget the torture method of strapping a bucket to a man's chest with a rat inside, then torching the bucket to force the rat to burrow its way out. I'm almost amazed Horrid King Joffrey hasn't thought of this one yet. But he's too busy getting his palace whores to brutalize each other for his amusement. All things considered, I'd rather be with Daenarys in Qarth, "the greatest city that ever was or will be..."
