The series picks up on the stunning, mid-season cliffhanger. Artie (Saul Rubinek) has infected the Warehouse Team – and the world --with the Black Orchid Artifact’s deadly “Sweating Sickness.”
If Pete (Eddie McClintock), Myka (Joanne Kelly), Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) and Steve (Aaron Ashmore) can’t reverse what Artie has done, the world will be engulfed by the deadliest pandemic since the Dark Ages. But the Team is already succumbing to the disease’s symptoms as they race to stop the artifact sickness -- before it stops them.

U.S. Secret Service Agents Pete and Myka are transported into a black-and-white, noir-style crime novel taking place in the 1940s, and because the book is unfinished, they are forced to live the events without prior knowledge of what is to come. Meanwhile, Artie, Steve and Claudia (Saul Rubinek, Aaron Ashmore, Allison Scagliotti) chase down a phantom car thief.

Meanwhile, Claudia and Jinks (Allison Scagliotti, Aaron Ashmore) search for an artifact used to rig horse races, while Artie (Saul Rubinek) meets the new B&B owner, Abigal Cho (Kelly Hu).

The clock is ticking to track down an evil alchemist (Anthony Stewart Head) who has bronzed Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) and stolen the only artifact that can reverse the condition, which seems to be affecting Mrs. Frederic (CCH Pounder) and the Warehouse, too.
