CONTINNUM - LEO AWARDS: 2013 DRAMATIC SERIES WINNERS
The Leo Awards is a project of the Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Foundation of British Columbia, Canada. The Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to celebrate and promote the achievements of the British Columbia film and television industry through the presentation of an annual awards program – the Leo Awards.
[The Leo Awards were first presented in 1999.]
The 2013 nominees were announced May 13, 2013.
The Celebration Awards Ceremony WERE held Friday, June 7 and the Gala Awards Ceremony on Saturday, June 8, at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Continuum – Had 16 Nominations - Received 7 Leo Awards for:
- Best Dramatic Series
Simon Barry, Tom Rowe, Patrick Williams, Matthew O'Connor, Lisa Richardson - Producers
- Best Direction in a Dramatic Series
William Waring - Continuum - Family Time
- Best Screenwriting in a Dramatic Series
Simon Barry - Continuum - End Times
- Best Picture Editing in a Dramatic Series
Alison Grace - Continuum - Family Time
- Best Costume Design in a Dramatic Series
Maya Mani - Continuum - A Stitch In Time
- Best Guest Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series
Ian Tracey - Continuum - End Times
- Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series
Richard Harmon - Continuum - Family Time
Arrow – Had 8 Nominations - Received 4 Awards:
- Best Cinematography in a Dramatic Series
Glen Winter - Arrow - Pilot
- Best Visual Effects in a Dramatic Series
Jean-Luc Dinsdale, Pauline Burns, Andrew Orloff, Dave Gauthier
Arrow - Burned
- Best Production Design in a Dramatic Series
Ricard Hudolin - Arrow - Pilot
- Best Stunt Coordination in a Dramatic Series
J. J. Makaro - Arrow - Pilot
Hell On Wheels – Had 2 Nominations - Received 1 Award:
- Best Casting in a Dramatic Series
Jackie Lind - Hell on Wheels - Purged Away With Blood
Saving Hope – Had 1 Nomination and Received the Award for its nomination:
- Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series
Michael Shanks - Saving Hope - Ride Hard or Go Home
In addition, Sanctuary's Agam Darshi received an award for her nomination in the Motion Picture category, for Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Motion Picture in Crimes of Mike Recket; James Bamford, the stunt coordinator for Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe, and currently Arrow, received an award in the Television Movie category for Best Stunt Coordination in a Television Movie for Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn; and Ian Tracey also received another award in the Television Movie category for Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Television Movie for Ring of Fire.
