DOCTOR WHO - BBC AMERICA: SEASON FIVE WEEKDAY SCHEDULE - WEEK OF APRIL 29, 2013

Doctor Who season five cast includes Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and Alex Kingston.

Apr 29 10:00AM Cold Blood

The Doctor (Matt Smith) and Nasreen Chaudry (Meera Syal) go deep underground and find an ancient society that has been disturbed by the drilling. They are gassed and taken prisoner just as Amy (Karen Gillan) manages to free herself. The military commander of the underground reptilians, Restac (Neve McIntosh), is convinced that the "apes' - their term for humans - are an invading force. Calmer heads prevail and the Doctor manages to negotiate a truce pending the transfer of prisoners which he, and some of the more pacifist members of the reptilians, hopes will lead to a lasting peace. The only problem is that Alaya, the reptile prisoner has been killed and Restac is ready to go to war.

Guest stars include Neve McIntosh, Meera Syal, Robert Pugh and Nia Roberts.

Apr 29 11:00AM Vincent and The Doctor

Visiting a museum, the Doctor (Matt Smith) and Amy (Karen Gillan) are especially excited with the gallery for Vincent van Gogh (Tony Curran). Many of van Gogh pieces are displayed, including "The Church at Auvers (1890)". However there is something irregular discovered on the painting - a small alien image within a window pane. The Doctor quickly takes Amy back to 1890 where they locate the troubled artist that upsets the locals, cannot pay his bills, and is able to see an invisible monster that no one else is able to see.

Guest stars include Defiance's Tony Curran, Nik Howden, Chrissie Cotterill and Sarah Counsell.

Apr 30 10:00AM The Lodger

No sooner does the TARDIS land on Earth that it leaves again - but without the Doctor (Matt Smith) who had just stepped outside. The Doctor soon finds himself at the home of Craig Owens (James Corden), who has been advertising for a lodger. There's clearly something odd in the house with people being lured to the upstairs room, but never reappearing. The Doctor is having a good time of it and is having a bit of fun; he proves to be a rather good football player. Craig the landlord is very much in love with Sophie (Daisy Haggard) but can't quite bring himself to tell her. The Doctor tries to help them out. But then there's always the problem of that upstairs room.

Guest stars include James Corden, Daisy Haggard, Owen Donovan and Babatunde Aleshe.

Apr 30 11:00AM The Pandorica Opens

A message on the oldest cliff in the universe, a puzzle box that opens from the inside and a love that lasts thousands of years…The fates are drawing close around the TARDIS - is this the day the Doctor falls?

Guest stars include Alex Kingston, Defiance's Tony Curran, Bill Paterson, Ian McNeice, Sophie Okonedo and Marcus O'Donovan.

May 01 10:00AM The Big Bang

Rory (Arthur Darvill) maintains a vigil for Amy (Karen Gillan) while the Doctor (Matt Smith) is trapped in the Pandorica, and the key to restoring the universe may lie with a little girl who still believes in stars in the 5th-season finale.

Guest stars include Alex Kingston, Caitlin Blackwood, Susan Vidler and Frances Ashman.
