Summer Premiere: Kyra Sedgwick returns to her Emmy-winning role as detective Brenda Leigh Johnson as TNT’s hit crime drama kicks off its final six-episode run tonight. (Don’t worry: The LAPD action will continue with the Kyra-less “Closer” spinoff “Major Crimes,” debuting next month.) This week, Brenda goes toe-to-toe with her old nemesis, lawyer/murder suspect Philip Stroh (Billy Burke), and pulls a stunt in court that annoys the new district attorney.
