Season Premiere: TNT’s grim alien-invasion drama returns to Earth this week for a sophomore season, with “ER’s” Noah Wyle starring as college professor-turned-human resistance leader Tom Mason. Last we saw Tom, he was boarding an alien spacecraft, offering himself as a sacrifice to save his son, Ben. He returns on the premiere, but the rest of the group questions his loyalty as Pope leads a mutiny within the 2nd Mass unit.
