... Jesse Stone: Benefit of the Doubt
9-11 PM CBS
The eighth of Tom Selleck's Jesse Stone TV movies has the hard-drinking recluse putting on his police-chief baseball cap once again — this time because he's replacing the chief who was murdered in the opening moments. Stone (based on a character created by the late novelist Robert B. Parker) investigates, when he's not too busy with his tough-love therapist (William Devane), his lover (Gloria Reuben), and even his dog. There are those who find the Stone movies slow; we who love them, however, revel in the measured way Selleck and co-writer Michael Brandman play out the suspense, and prize Stone's phlegmatic stubbornness.
RATED: B+

I eagerlsy awaited the movie Jessie Stone with Tom Selleck only to be disappointed when Channel 11 only showed a portion. Will now change from 11 to another more reliable channel.
