SCIFI DAILY - BBC AMERICA: SCHEDULE FOR WEEK OF MAY 15, 2012 - DOCTOR WHO (4PM), BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (5PM) AND STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION (6PM)

Doctor Who season five cast includes Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill.


Tue. May 15 4:00 PM Cold Blood

The Doctor and Nasreen Chaudry (Meera Syal) go deep underground and find an ancient society that has been disturbed by the drilling. They are gassed and taken prisoner just as Amy (Karen Gillan) manages to free herself. The military commander of the underground reptilians, Restac (Neve McIntosh), is convinced that the "apes' - their term for humans - are an invading force. Calmer heads prevail and the Doctor manages to negotiate a truce pending the transfer of prisoners which he, and some of the more pacifist members of the reptilians, hopes will lead to a lasting peace. The only problem is that Alaya, the reptile prisoner has been killed and Restac is ready to go to war.

Guest stars include Neve McIntosh, Meera Syal, Robert Pugh, Nia Roberts, Richard Hope, Stephen Moore, Alun Raglan and Sam Davies.

Wed. May 16 4:00 PM Vincent and the Doctor

Amy (Karen Gillan) finds herself battling a deadly alien in France with none other than Vincent Van Gogh (Tony Curran). Can The Doctor save the famous painter?

Guest stars include Tony Curran, Nik Howden, Chrissie Cotterill and Sarah Counsell.

Thur. May 17 4:00 PM The Lodger

No sooner does the TARDIS land on Earth that it leaves again - but without the Doctor who had just stepped outside. The Doctor soon finds himself at the home of Craig Owens (James Corden), who has been advertising for a lodger. There's clearly something odd in the house with people being lured to the upstairs room, but never reappearing. The Doctor is having a good time of it and is having a bit of fun; he proves to be a rather good football player. Craig the landlord is very much in love with Sophie (Daisy Haggard) but can't quite bring himself to tell her. The Doctor tries to help them out. But then there's always the problem of that upstairs room.

Guest stars include James Corden, Daisy Haggard, Owen Donovan and Babatunde Aleshe.

Fri. May 18 4:00 PM The Pandorica Opens

River Song (Alex Kingston) returns to deliver The Doctor a serious warning from his allies: the mythical Pandorica, said to contain the most feared creature in the entire Universe, is opening.

Guest stars include Alex Kingston, Tony Curran, Bill Paterson, Ian McNeice, Sophie Okonedo and Marcus O'Donovan.

Tue. May 15 5:00 PM Kobol's Last Gleaming - Part 2

After President Roslin (Mary McDonnell) interferes with his plan to attack the Cylons, Adama (James Edward Olmos) considers a coup. Meanwhile, Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) uses the Cylon raider to retrieve a mystical talisman on Caprica; and Boomer (Grace Park) embarks on a desperate mission to destroy the Cylon basestar near Kobol.

Guest stars include Being Human's Sam Witwer, Lorena Gale, Alonso Oyarzun, Nicki Clyne, Jim Shield, Alpha's Warren Christie, Jen Halley and Leah Cairns.



Wed. May 16 5:00 PM Scattered

As the premiere for the second season unfolds, Adama (James Edward Olmos) lays dying leaving Tigh (Michael Hogan) in command. Lee (Jamie Bamber) and Roslin (Mary McDonnell) have been sent to the brig. An emergency jump goes wrong leaving the Galactica alone in space without the fleet.

The relief engendered by Galactica's reunion with the fleet is short-lived when a virus begins draining the power supply and a pack of Cylons invade the ship. Tigh (Michael Hogan) has a hunch as to the Cylons' intentions, but needs Apollo's (Jamie Bamber) help to thwart their scheme. Back on Caprica, Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) and Helo (Tahmoh Penikett) visit her old apartment; while on Kobol, Tyrol (Aaron Douglas) races back to camp with medical supplies.

As Adama (James Edward Olmos) continues his recovery under Dr. Cottle's (Donnelly Rhodes) supervision, Tigh (Michael Hogan) struggles to maintain his authority---and his sobriety---amidst Roslin's (Mary McDonnell) reemergence as a political force; and Apollo (Jamie Bamber) leads a rescue mission to Kobol, unaware that the Cylons have prepared an ambush

Riker (Jonathan Frakes) is accused of murdering a research scientist (Mark Margolis), and the Enterprise holodeck is programmed to re-create the events according to each witness's testimony.
