At the ceremony kicking off the restoration of Wickery Bridge, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is surprised to learn why Sage (Cassidy Freeman) has returned. Sage comes up with a way to help Damon figure out what Rebekah (Claire Holt) is up to. Abby (Persia White) has trouble adjusting to her new circumstances. Elena (Nina Dobrev) asks Stefan (Paul Wesley) to help her save a friend, hoping it will bring him closer to his humanity, in the new episode "Break on Through."
