Ned (Sean Bean) finally arrives at King's Landing, but he's aghast to find out from Robert's (Mark Addy) advisers that the Crown is deep in debt. Meanwhile, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) gets off to a rough start with the other recruits at Castle Black, but his commitment impresses Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), who clashes with Benjen (Joseph Mawle) over the purpose of the Night's Watch; and Catelyn (Michelle Fairley) secretly follows Ned to King's Landing, where she airs her suspicions about the Lannisters to her old friend Petyr Baelish (Aidan Gillen).
