FALLING SKIES - TEEN TELEVISION: Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood and Drew Roy Interview

TeenTelevision is at a boutique hotel in Beverly Hills getting the latest from the cast members of the long-awaited, Spielberg-produced TNT Sci Fi action series “Falling Skies” from cast members Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood and Drew Roy. Episodes roll this coming Sunday at 9:00 (ET/PT).

At least five years in the making, the show focuses on the survivors of an alien invasion that has destroyed the world’s technical capabilities along with most of its citizens. We’re talkin’ no cellphones, i-pods, computers, Wii, etc. Yikes!

The remnants of humanity are resistance fighting in ragtag bands against a much stronger and tech-savvy enemy. These bug-like aliens are grabbing teens and strapping mind-controlling “harnesses” on their backs to insure a slave labor force but what do they really want with our planet and our youth?

... TeenTelevision: By the end of the season what have you each learned about your character?

Drew: Hal goes from being this kid in the beginning to a man by the end of the series through these different battles and women and going after this brother.

Noah: More the women than the battles (laughter).

... Moon: I guess I admired (my character) Anne Glass in the ways she is different from myself; her calmness, always having the unrelenting support of Tom Mason, always keeping her cool and never letting her emotions play into anything. And even having a hard time delving into her past and that trauma. She has to unravel at some point which was nice to do and then string it all back together.

She’s always being level-headed. Watching the pilot I was like “God, I wonder what I would be like in that situation?” I don’t think I’d be as fair or as cool but I’d definitely like to think I’d be as maternal and my character is very much the woman who stands by her man yet very strong on her own. I think some of the strongest women know when to say something and when not to...
