When the orphaned heir (guest star Glenn Fitzgerald) of one of Palm City's founders threatens to paralyze the city, The Cape and Max (David Lyons, Keith David) try to alert Marty (Dorian Missick) of this looming danger, but their attempt backfires. Orwell (Summer Glau) receives some help from Secretary of Prisons Patrick Portman (guest star Richard Schiff). Illeana Douglas also guest stars in the new episode "The Lich, Part 1."
