If A&E really wanted to play to the older audience that’s taking to Longmire, it’d tap into nostalgia for classic Westerns by ditching its dirt-caked, single-guitar-strum theme song and open every episode with a twangy holler of “Loooooooooongmiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire!,” followed by the sound of a gunshot—which is what we hear in our head each time we we read the title of the show. Zack Handlen’s the one holding the gun.

Wanting to win a jousting tournament thanks to his abilities rather than rank, Arthur (Bradley James) disguises his identity with the help of Merlin (Colin Morgan) and Gwen (Angel Coulby). Meanwhile, a bounty hunter arrives in Camelot intent on killing the young prince.

Morgana (Katie McGrath) fears that she may have magical powers when her nightmares spill into her waking life and, after turning to Gaius (Richard Wilson) for help, seeks out the Druids for guidance.

07:00 PM Lancelot and Guinevere

Gwen (Angel Coulby) is kidnapped by the villain Hengist (James Cosmo), who mistakes her for Morgana (Katie McGrath). Uther (Anthony Head) refuses to pay the ransom, so Arthur (Bradley James) sets out to rescue her himself. Gwen, meanwhile, is reunited with Lancelot (Santiago Cabrera), who's also being held captive by the outlaw.

08:00 PM Beauty and the Beast - Part 1

Uther (Anthony Head) is besotted by Lady Catrina (Sarah Parish), who claims to be the lone survivor of a destroyed city but, in reality, is a filthy troll up to no good.

09:00 PM Beauty and the Beast - Part 2

Newly crowned Queen Catrina (Sarah Parish) settles in as Camelot's first lady. As her true troll nature surfaces, her influence over Uther (Anthony Head) increases, and the repercussions are felt throughout the kingdom.

When Catrina accuses Merlin (Colin Morgan) of stealing, he is forced into hiding. Forced to sneak around the castle, Merlin must find a way to expose Catrina's true form without getting caught and beheaded. Even if he succeeds, is it enough to break her powerful magic? Or will Camelot be stuck with a troll queen forever?

10:00 PM The Witchfinder

Uther (Anthony Head) is determined to wipe out magic in Camelot once and for all, and this time no one is beyond suspicion. He summons the most dreaded witchfinder in the land, Aredian (Charles Dance), a terrifying man who will stop at nothing to uncover sorcery. Gaius (Richard Wilson) impresses upon Merlin (Colin Morgan) how much danger he is in but Morgana (Katie McGrath) needs no such warning. She is certain Aredian will see straight through her and she will be burnt at the stake. Can Merlin protect Morgana and Gaius without ending up in the flames himself?
