Five inmates of a Civil War prison camp escape by balloon and land on the titular island, which is inhabited by pirates, hungry monsters and the brilliant Nemo, who has his own evil reasons for being there. Kyle MacLachlan, Gabrielle Anwar and Omar Gooding also star.
